What information do we collect about you?

By becoming a client of JK Accountants (UK) Ltd and availing of our services either directly as a client or as a Director, Shareholder or employee of one of our clients, we will collect and use information about you. This information includes your personal details, personal information about your income and taxation and other information that is given to us from time to time, at the time of registration or during a meeting with us, over the telephone, email, in person or in writing. If you are a client and provide us with personal information relating to an employee, you confirm that you have their consent to provide this information to us and for us to use it in the manners described in this Privacy Policy. In all further points in this policy, the word client shall be deemed to include owners and employees of the registered client. We may also process details of your visits to our offices or website. We may monitor your use of our services and record your details, email address and / or IP address, for system administration and to process the information as may be required in fulfilment of our accounting and reporting requirements.

Who will we share your information with?

We will share your information within JK Accountants (UK) Ltd and any of our related partners, subsidiaries, subcontractors and employees who provide services to you. At present the related parties include Mac Professional Services Ltd and Accounts Mate(Private) Ltd. We will not share your information with unrelated persons or businesses.

We may also share your information with other organisations if we sell or buy any business or assets, if we or a substantial part of our company assets are acquired by another party, if we have to share your information to comply with legal or regulatory requirements or if we have to enforce Our Terms and Conditions or any other agreements.

We may transfer all of our rights and obligations under these Terms and Conditions and may disclose or transfer all information we hold about registered clients or prospective registered clients to a prospective or actual new owner of our business. Such a disclosure or transfer will not alter the rights of such registered clients in respect of the use that can be made of such information by such other company.

Where do we transfer your information to?

We may transfer your information to, or store it, outside the European Economic Area (“EEA”) in countries which do not have data protection laws as robust as those that are in place within the EEA. Please do not send us your information if you do not want it to be transferred or stored outside the EEA. We will use your information to ensure that our practice completes its activities as effectively as possible for providing services to you, for our internal purposes (such as quality control, site performance, system administration and to evaluate use of our services) and to notify you about changes to our services. We may also use the information you provide us for our research and marketing purposes and to carry out our obligations arising from any contracts with you and for billing and delivery purposes. We keep all such information confidential.

In addition, we may use your information to send you relevant and focused product suggestions and information about services which we and they feel may be of interest to you. How do we keep your information secure?

All your information is stored in our secure office either on Computers or as hard copy. Backup of all our information is stored on cloud-based servers. For the services we provide we need to use third-party software which processes your information. While we take extreme care to ensure that the software we use has adequate security features, we cannot take responsibility for any data breaches that may occur.

Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Although we will apply our normal procedures and comply with legal requirements to protect your information, we cannot guarantee the security of your information transmitted to or from our offices and any transmission is at your own risk. Once we have received your information, we will use strict procedures and security features to try to prevent unauthorised access. We will endeavour not to transmit personal information by email unless you specifically request this to be done. If the preferred mode of communication has and remains to be email, we will try to ensure usage of reliable software with as little personal information as possible.

Your Rights

You have the right to ask us not to process your information (or pass your information to other companies or organisations) for marketing purposes.
